Janet Tyler Johnson, CFP®

Since 1992 Janet has been involved in building RIA firms. Her experience includes both fee-based and fee-only models in State, SEC and NASD regulated firms. These firms range in size from sole proprietorship to multi-state/multi-advisor firms, the latter of which she was in charge of building from the ground up for the nation’s 12 largest accounting firm. (This firm grew from zero to $500 Million in assets under management in less than five years.)

Her expertise is broad and deep. She’s both worked in and been in charge of back office operations, compliance, relationship management, investment committees, marketing, web design and technology for the RIA.

Janet has held Series 7, 24 and 65 licenses (she still holds her Series 65) and has held her CFP® designation since 1988.

She has successfully navigated two different state regulatory audits as well as both an SEC and an NASD audit.

Janet’s latest area of expertise includes building a virtual practice. She’s learned from some of the best how to leverage technology to build a profitable business that allows her the freedom to work whenever and wherever she chooses.
